Woolen Ari Shawls

The Kashmir Shawls (Woolen Ari Shawls) are embroidered in two different types one is Ari Work and the other is sowing Needle work
ARI work;- It is a long needle having a curved hook which holds the tread while a worker is pulling and pushing it through the fabric to fallow the printed design marked on the fabric. The treads are of mercerized Silk which has to be fallowed with different kind of colors to do the embroidery on the Wool Fabric for Shawls, but at times the embroideries are done on Silk or Cotton fabrics as well to make blouses Caftans and linen items.
